Hey, I AM NICKEY!

I am so happy you dropped in!

I am a wedding, elopement, and portrait photographer, serving South central Alaska + beyond! I love traveling, collecting stories, painting, laughing until it hurts, the ocean, wild adventures and of course, taking TONS of photos!

I feel like I have always had a camera in my hand. Whether it was spending all of my allowance on disposable cameras at the grocery store in 90s or borrowing my parents’ film cameras—I have always been taking pictures. I am so grateful and humbled for the opportunity to capture photos that mark your biggest milestones. It’s sacred to be invited into spaces like engagements, wedding, or births—I still can’t believe how blessed I am to call this my job! I can’t wait to connect with you and become your biggest hype girl!

Photos give US THE ABILITY to freeze a frame in our story.

I have always been fascinated by other people’s stories. No really, one time right after college I went on a cross country road trip with my video camera in hand purely to collect stories. I met strangers wherever I would stop and I would sit and ask them to share their stories & dreams for the future. It was honestly an incredible experience. Stories are so powerful in their ability to connect us to one another—and photos give us the ability to freeze a frame of our story and preserve its magic forever. Think about how precious family photo albums are. When asked what a person would save in an emergency or disaster, the family photos are always on the top 5 things list. They become heirlooms for our children, pages in our history books, and help us to learn, grow, and see the world.

It is such an honor for me to be entrusted to freeze a frame in your story. I am so humbled every time someone shares a Christmas card, birth announcement, wedding album or any other beautiful milestones my photos have captured. Capturing your WildHoney moments and creating photography sessions that are fun and memorable are big passions of mine. I am so looking forward to working together and being your biggest hype girl!
